What is the mission of West Coast Christian Writers?
We want to help our writers thrive by taking the next, faith-filled step in their unique writing journey, whatever that may be.

Expectations for Members of West Coast Christian Writers
The West Coast Christian Writers membership community is committed to providing a safe environment in which our members can freely connect in positive ways. Our expectation is that members of West Coast Christian Writers become engaged and responsible members of a writing community that reflects biblical values, with godly respect and care for each other. One way we ask our members to respect each other is to refrain from adding members to mailing lists without permission. The leadership team reserves the right to suspend or remove members whose actions violate these values.

What does it mean to be a Christian writer?
A Christian writer is a writer who follows Jesus, no matter your church, denomination or attendance record. Also, Christian writers create in many different genres and publish in the Christian market as well as the general market. We are committed to serving the community of Christian writers in all of its richness and diversity.

What do Christians believe?
Basic Christian beliefs can be summed up in a historic statement called The Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Apostles’ creed is the oldest statement of faith in the Christian church, and one of the most universally recognized summaries of the Christian faith. Written sometime in the second century AD, the Apostles' creed defines core Christian beliefs about God, Jesus, the church, salvation, and other theological topics. It’s a concise explanation of the Bible’s key message, formulated and agreed upon by some of Jesus’ earliest followers.
